Both Ergo Force workstations and chairs are designed for use in ESD protected areas (EPA). The compliance of our products with the IEC 61340-5-1 standard guarantees the safety of components being manufactured or serviced in EPA zone. Thanks to the conductive properties of our products, harmful electrostatic charges are discharged through an efficient grounding system.
The ergonomics of a workstation are essential because they directly impact the health of your employees, their productivity, and overall well-being.
Here’s why ergonomics matter:
1. Preventing physical strain and injury:
Poor workstation ergonomics can lead to disorders such as neck pain, back pain and other repetitive strain injuries. A well-designed ergonomic setup minimizes strain on your body by promoting proper posture and alignment.
2. Reducing fatigue:
An ergonomically optimized workspace helps reduce fatigue by preventing awkward positions that require extra effort. When your body is in a natural, comfortable position you avoid unnecessary exhaustion.
3. Improving comfort and concentration:
A comfortable workstation enables better focus and concentration. Discomfort or pain caused by poor ergonomics can be distracting and negatively affect your ability to concentrate on tasks.
4. Boosting productivity:
Ergonomics enhance efficiency and productivity by positioning tools, devices, and materials in ways that reduce unnecessary motion and make tasks easier to complete. For example, having a monitor at eye level reduces neck strain and allows for a more natural viewing angle, leading to faster and more comfortable work.
Key aspects of ergonomic workstations:
• Chair: Supports the lower back and promotes good posture.
• Desk height: Allows elbows to rest at a 90-degree angle with wrists straight.
• Monitor position: At eye level to reduce neck strain.
• Keyboard and mouse: Positioned so the wrists stay straight and relaxed.
• Foot support: Feet flat on the floor or supported by a footrest to maintain good leg posture.
Overall, ergonomic workstations improve health, comfort, and efficiency, leading to a better work experience.
Despite the lack of a formal requirement, since the beginning of production we have equipped our upholstered chairs with 1MΩ protective resistors to prevent the user from a sudden discharge of static electricity. At the same time, such resistors limit the current flowing through the user’s body in the event of an electric shock from the power grid.
Furthermore, placing emphasis on employee safety we use only casters equipped with an automatic brake mechanism that is iniciated when the chair is not loaded.
Ergo Force is a line of industrial furniture created with the electronics manufacturing industry in mind.
Just like the ancient gladiators who had to please the audience, we also work hard and make every effort to ensure that the workstations and chairs are to your liking, with special attention to their ergonomics and compliance with antistatic requirements.
